Messi Fined By CONMEBOL For Copa America Comments

Image
Lionel Messi has been fined a $1500  for his comments passed about the federation’s “corruption” during this summer’s Copa America. Additionally, the Argentina star will serve a one-game suspension for the red card he received against Chile in the competition’s third-place match. Messi went off on the South American federation earlier this month, but they have responded with a negligible fine and no further suspension beyond the automatic one-game punishment for a red card. After being sent off against Chile, Messi skipped the Copa America medal ceremony, clearly still upset about his red card in the third-place game and what transpired in his nation’s semi-final defeat to host country Brazil. CONMEBOL responded to Messi’s comments with a withering statement of their own, accusing the Barcelona star of a “lack of respect.” "There is no doubt, the whole thing is set up for Brazil," Messi charged after several controversial VAR decisions went against Argentina in th

President Donald Trump said the United States is not seeking regime change in Iran President Donald Trump said Tuesday the United States is not pushing to topple Iran's leadership but is determined to stop it acquiring nuclear weapons. "We are not looking for regime change. We are not looking for that at all," Trump said during a cabinet meeting. "They can't have a nuclear weapon." The United States quit an international deal aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear program last year, hitting Tehran with crippling sanctions. Iran said last week that it had enriched uranium past the 3.67 per cent limit set by the 2015 nuclear deal, and has also surpassed the 300-kilogram cap on enriched uranium reserves. Tensions have soared since Trump pulled out of the deal, with the US calling off airstrikes against Iran at the last minute after Tehran downed an American drone, and Washington blaming the Islamic republic for a series of attacks on tanker ships. Aliou Cissé Laments: Senegalese Football Leaders wanted white people who were asking for a lot of money

Image
ALIOU CISSE  Senegalese Football Leaders wanted white people who were asking for huge money. I went to beg El Hadji Diouf and some other former footballers to ask Government to recruit me. But it was difficult because the Minister wanted Alain Giresse (French) who was asking for millions of Francs. After several weeks of discussions with the French man without any agreement, the Minister invited me to his office and I seized the opportunity and I told him, ‘I am not after the money, just allow me to serve my country’. Today I have beat more than nine great European coaches to reach the finals. God also allowed me to beat Alain Giresse, in the process. Allow me to ask African leaders to give their brothers the chance instead of spending their precious time running after white people.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE A TYRE BURST WHEN DRIVING

Image
How to Handle a Tyre Burst      There are six(6) simple  steps to take within a  maximum of 2 minutes  and you will be safe, these  by the grace of God I have  been familiar with for decades. They are as follow: (1) DON'T PANIC in the event of a blowout, calm yourself down fast because your car will start misbehaving and you need to take charge.  (2) Hold FIRMLY to your steering wheel with both hand, NO VIGOROUS TURNING, as you concentrate on the road and your mirrors, in seconds study the movement pattern of the car. Your car will naturally swerve to the direction of the burst tyre. (3) Take off your foot from the accelerator, DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO PRESS THE BRAKES, IF YOU DO, YOU HAVE A 95% CHANCE OF A SOMERSAULT. The car will decelerate gradually while you concentrate on the road to avoid collision with any other road user. (4) Disengage the gears of the car by shifting to neutral (N) as you still maintain a firm grip on the sheering wheel and put your eye

what should I do if my nose is blocked

Image
NOSE CONGESTION   No se block commonly occurs when there is inflammation of the mucous membrane in the nose. This leads to dilation of the blood vessels in the nose causing congestion.      The membranes get filled with water and swell up causing the blockage. The inflammation may be due to infection or allergies. That cause needs to be diagnosed and treated. You should consult your doctor for that.     In the meantime, you can try to inhale steam which will soothe the nasal passages. You could also try any over-the-counter nasal decongestant drops for short term relief.       You should _not_ use these drops more than twice a day and for more than five days. It can lead to some unpleasant side effects if used indiscriminately.       This advice is generic and can never replace a consultation with your personal physician.

what will happen if you don't sleep?

Image
Lack of sleep is 'never' healthy. The human body can tolerate a certain amount of sleep deficit. Once you start accumulating this sleep deficit, it can lead to several problems.     The first thing that you may notice is fatigue. You start to feel tired more easily. As time progresses, you are likely to make more mistakes in whatever you are doing, even in simple day to day activities.       Higher sleep deprivation can lead to disturbances in appetite, mood swings, other mental health disturbances, hormonal imbalances etc. Finally, you should be aware that the body can only take a certain amount of abuse.       At some point, you will fall asleep involuntarily. This can be quite dangerous if it happens while you are driving or operating heavy machinery or when you are present at a height or near water.

The French Ligue 1 champions said they would take "appropriate action" against the forward after he did not appear for club duties on Monday. The news has fuelled rumours Neymar will look to force through a move away from the club in the transfer window, with a return to Barcelona mooted as well as a possible switch to Real Madrid. PSG said in a statement that they had not authorised the player's absence, but Neymar Snr is adamant they had agreed he would not be back until July 15 due to commitments with Instituto Neymar, a charitable organisation set up by the 27-year-old and his family. “The reason [for his absence] is known and was scheduled one year ago, with the annual schedule of his institute, and we couldn't change it,” he first told Fox Sports Brazil . “His return will be on the 15th. But Leonardo has now revealed that the French champions(PSG) are willing to let him leave if a club matches their price. "Neymar can leave PSG, if there is an offer that suits everyone," Leonardo told Le Parisien . "But to date, we do not know if anyone wants to buy him or at what price. All this is not done in a day, that's for sure. "It's clear to everyone [that Neymar wants to leave], but in football, you say one thing today and tomorrow another. It's amazing but it's like that. "We talked with his entourage too. Everyone knows everything. The position is clear for all participants. But on

Romero Set for Juventus Medical on Tuesday

Image
Cristian Romero a defender for Genoa is set to undergo a medical with Juventus on Tuesday ahead of a move to the Serie A champions, as per reports. Following the medical, Romero will sign a contract through 2024 with Juventus, but then return on loan with Genoa for the 2019-20 season. While Juventus wait on the completion of a Matthijs de Ligt deal with Ajax and a €15 million (£13m/$17m) move for former Sassuolo defender Merih Demiral already completed, Juve’s depth chart in defence had already been filled out. As it currently stands, there is no place for the 21-year-old Romero among those ranks this season. Therefore, the Bianconeri have decided it is better for the Argentine’s development for him to continue to feature at Genoa for the coming season, after making a strong impression in his debut campaign at the club.

Parliament Drops New Chamber Project

Image
Parliament has pulled the brakes on its plans to construct a new parliamentary complex to house a chamber large enough to accommodate parliamentarians and others who appear before the house to conduct official business. According to the Ag. Director of Public Affairs of Parliament, Kate Addo, the house has pulled the brakes for now but is unable to say if it is a permanent brake or the issue would be revisited in the near future. The project has seen a number of Ghanaians raising objection in the face of what they termed more pressing needs that should be attended to. A week ago,the house’s deliberations were disrupted when a lone protester in the public gallery, Ernesto Yeboah who is also the Convener of the Economic Fighters League raised his voice to “tell” the parliamentarians to “drop that chamber”. He was quickly taken in, along with two others, by security personnel.
